Critical illness cover

You can include critical illness cover with your life insurance policy at an additional cost. This pays out a lump sum of money if you are diagnosed with certain specified critical illnesses, during a fixed period of time ('the term') and are eligible to claim. You can get an immediate critical illness quote over the telephone, and if the cost and amount of cover suit you, you could buy today. This option is not available online. As we mentioned, our critical illness insurance cover is only available with a life insurance policy. The length of time you choose to be insured for is called the 'term'. With Legal & General you can choose a term between two and forty years for level term guaranteed premiums or reviewable premiums, providing that it ends before your 65th Birthday. For decreasing term with critical illness cover the term can be from five to forty years, again this must end before your 65th birthday.
